I’m a huge fan of brunch. However, sometimes getting out of your comfy pants and into public feels just too much.

Luckily, if you can’t or don’t want to go to brunch, all is not lost. Brunch can come to you, right?

Here’s a super simple brunch board you (or your husband) can make for a romantic and tasty weekend treat. I say “make” loosely because it’s more a matter of heating up your waffles and assembling the board.

(This is also a super easy idea for a Mother’s Day brunch – alternatively the colors of this waffle board also make it perfect for a 4th of July breakfast).

Of course no one is stopping you from making the waffles from scratch if you really want to. This is the super easy cheat version.

But enough talking. Let’s do this.

This sweet brunch board can always be made more savory with the addition of bacon, sausage if you prefer.

Method

Find a suitable board or platter: one that’s big enough to fit all your ingredients.

Wash and dry the fruit.

Put the peanut butter and whipped cream into small bowls and your syrup into a gravy boat. Heap Nutella onto a large spoon.

Place the peanut butter, whipped cream, syrup and Nutella near the edges of the board, leaving space between them.

I like to do this BEFORE I start heating the waffles. It can take a while to get things looking right if you haven’t put boards together before and if you’re stressing out that your waffles are going to be cold you’re going to make it even harder on yourself.
